It’s cold.
Well, cold for the deep South.
So, most of my exercise is taking place indoors (except for those few hours after lunch when it’s warm enough, when bundled, to walk around the neighborhood).
I have been walking a minimum of 5 miles per day – and reintroducing some high-intensity interval training. Back a few years ago, I lost several pounds (which I put back on, because I went back to bad eating habits) and the h.i.i.t. really helped me. If I can drop a few more pounds, running will become more of an options, but for now, I’m really working on walking and maintaining a good heart rate.
As of yesterday, I am down a total of 7.6 pounds. My goal is to lose 80 pounds.
My diet consists of lean meats, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Basically, I’m eating real foods, in quantities that are satisfying but not stuffing. This worked before, and is working again.
Today’s score, with 1 being “I just consumed an entire box of chocolate-covered-chocolate” and 10 being “I am awesome at losing weight and being awesome” – I give myself a solid 8.5. I ate well (maybe a little too much, we shall see) and needed to push a little harder on the old treadmill, but I still had a great day.
